I couldn't disagree more. Everyone I know is being affected positively by the Healthcare Act. I have one friend who works for the government that makes less money each year because her cost of living wages fail to match the increase in healthcare, and another friend who will finally be able to change healthcare plans because pre-existing conditions will longer be a problem.

Saying this will "cost more" is stupid - It is going to cost more NO MATTER WHAT. We can do nothing and it will still cost more.

Not all plans are going to change. But some of them aren't really even healthcare plans at all. A healthcare plan that fails to cover hospital visits isn't a healthcare plan at all. The law is going to require some healthcare plans to change and offer up basic minimums. There will be some changes.

This wasn't "shoved down anyone's throat". It passed Congress. It passed the Supreme Court. You can't say it was shoved down your throat because if you can, you can saw that about all laws.

We need to fix healthcare, not sit in a corner and cry about it.

Many of the people signing up are for the FREE stuff. Millions WONT be able to signup due to to low of income. Millions being dropped, thus to only have to get More expensive plans, and can't wait to see this bleed out when the waivers run out..
Millions aren't being dropped. They are being forced to change, which is why the law exists. Fuck, in some states we have 90% of the people insured. We are trying make this the national average, and make it higher.

But if we said "free healthcare for everyone" you would have bitched too.

Well ok, I can't say nothing as a few who Already HAD Insurance Might get it cheaper, but on the Tax payers back....
So if they get cheaper insurance, that's good right? If they can get cheaper insurance, and more people get covered, shouldn't that be the goal here? (It is the goal really.)

But the "middle class" is barely getting by because one third of their income is going to healthcare. One third of your income is supposed to be paying your mortgage and should be by far your biggest expense. When health insurance for a family of five, with two of them having prior conditiations, you are totally fucked.
