I'd buy it...then offer to re-sell it to him at 40% markup.
If he says no - I'd say to his daughter, "Sorry sweetheart...daddy's a cheap prick and doesn't think you're worth it."
But...
In reality...since I'm actually a nice guy - I wouldn't say or do that.
I'd offer it to him at 25% markup.
