It is from search engine land and just talking about the effects of personalisation on the search engine rankings.

The final 2 points about Personal history and Social connections surprise me the most.

What I think it is trying to say is that
Personal history - What you have liked, shared, written a review about will implicate which sites will rank for you in the future.

Social connections - What your friends have liked, shared and written a review about will implicate your social rankings because they are based on a friends recommendations..

The big question... Is this true? How do Google do it though? Through Google Plus this is obviously possible but how do they have access to Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest data? Or are the google robots able to see how many times things have been liked and shared and can build a reliable algorithm based on that?

thanks guys!
