First, I really can't understand why people are talking so bad about them. It is different culture then western (or European) and you should know that if you are already going there. I was here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sousse and it was fine as long as you know what to expect. If you are staying in hotel complex there are no problems (except someone stole us some money from room and I didn't had safe because my laptop couldn't fit in so I decided not to take it).
Anyway, as I've said, it is Muslim culture (although with strong French influence so they are not that kind of hardcore Allah Snackbar followers today called "rebels" ). I was in front of fight several times when I've went to city because they are frustrated and start loosing their mind when saw my girlfriend ( since she is blonde, it just multiplied their sexual frustration). I guess it is a price of believing into Allah shit and watching covered girls whole life so there were problems with this.
Also, almost had fight with some guy being boring as shit that was trying to force us to take picture with his bird (some eagle or something like that). I've ignored him several times until he started open provocation in English. Then I had to react after what he explained me that I showed disrespect toward him by ignoring him. So if you don't want that kind of logic and experience , don't go there and avoid all those fucking Muslim countries.
If you want to see different culture and enjoy service for small money, it is good place.
One more thing that was crazy: We took some taxi, and guy started picking up people until car was full. Last thing I was expecting . I mean.it happened so fast that you don't understand what is going on. But it seems like normal thing there cine people entering cab were foreigners ,also.
I couldn't eat their food so I was buying pancakes all the time in hotel. Also, I've eat worst pizza ever. and I've went to restaurant to finally find something to eat. Fuck, we couldn't swallow it and waiter was asking is everything fine and ok, constantly. Fucked up situation so I was hiding pizza slices somehow to avoid his boring questions.
What I've also noticed that night in restaurant, are two French girls that waiter managed to charm easily and went to sit with them. It looked as good interracial threesome introduction and I've used that situation to try to hide pizza that I couldn't eat.
