Business is a game... We are all in it and sometimes people get in it together hoping to make money together.

When someone couldn't pay me back I think it was best to hear, "i can't pay you back everything, but I can pay you this much..." And then that's a settlement and respect is deserved. Or they kept trying to pay me back and sometimes took a long time, but it was so nice to get it settled when they did... Or I simply got, "I can't pay it back." And I had to accept that.

The worst are the guys that kept telling me I'd get paid back, but they never paid one penny. When they wasted my time, my hope and my patience... They really pissed me off. If you are going to say this... You have to pay something.

I had someone close a company owing me $340,000... And I don't hate the guy because he did it right.

Pay the ones you can and settle with the rest. If you can't pay, you need to say that. It sucks, but it will help everyone move on.

I say this, knowing nothing about your situation, or who was hurt by the losses.
