Main reason why I deleted every Wordpress installation that I had. You think that after almost ten years they could finally get one secure stable version... But, nooo... They are too busy masturbating on each other and adding clever features to secure the core "technology".

I got sick of the weekly (or even monthly) installs, patches, and "upgrades". I still think 2.2 was my favourite version of W.P. A solid blog platform, not a shitty "do everything" CMS like it is now.

There are other options people - but they are not all free. You get what you pay for... Just because you pay for your plugins, it does not mean that the underlying core technology is anything more than a cobbled together, unstable and not very secure pile of shit. And when the people that make your expensive plugins disband and stop updating them every week - your entire site becomes a delicious target for malware and virus hacks.

I started using Wordpress in early 2005. Then I almost choked to death on their arrogance and irrelevance. Keep adding plugins! Keep upgrading! I am sure that it will all work 100% super well and fine!
