Stocks having a considerable spread and a reasonable amount of volume?

When I was fooling around doing some trading, the best trades I ever made were the ones where I'd try to fill a couple ticks over the higest bid and then would immediately sell a few ticks under the lowest ask .. that and buying well established intraday lows and selling close as I could to intraday highs

So if I had a scanner that could pick some stocks to watch next time, that'd be great
I really hate to pay for e-trade pro but I bet it could do it, right?
