Rotten tomatoes is a guide, its a plus minus scale. So even if you thought it was watchable that is a positive score. So when shit bag movies like 42 come out and people feel guilted into enjoying it and ends up with a 80+ rating nobody questions it. Now watch that movie again and you will see an over dramatized bag of shit full of lies, exaggerations with some decent acting from Harrison Ford. They mangled an otherwise great true story.
J. Falcon, You're on the money man. Gravity wasn't that great, had little story, the action and effects took higher precedence which makes it watchable, but forgettable at best.

btw Titanic was #1 at the box office for 10 straight weeks making over 25 million per weekend during that 10 week run . So forget Rotten tomatoes for a sec. and realize people actually liked the movie, young and old. Same goes for Gravity. It's a well crafted, simple movie that knocks it out of the park. Box office receipts do the talking with awards. Gravity will have both.
