Years ago I remember there always seemed to be conflicts whenever you put both IE and Netscape Navigator together on a system. It was as if there was some software coding on IE that would cause to it either slow down or halt entirely if you had Navigator installed.

Just many years of anecdotal experience - no physical evidence to back this up.
