50 bikers would be at the top the list of things I wouldn't want 50 of surrounding my vehicle. Most of us would do the same thing, because it would be smart to remove yourself from a situation like that. The alternative would definitely be worse, taking into account the historical perspective of bikers and sociability. And no one try to say that bikers can't be real assholes when they're in a group.
