If you have great content
If you have great content
If you FOLLOW blogs/like blogs that are interesting and not scammy/spammy. You will be fine.
It will take a little time but you will not have a tumblr blog filled with useless followers.

Skip the flashy plug-ins, the video embeds that make the screen go jiggy...Give your target audience...pleasure and happiness. People try so hard to game their traffic they game their efforts.

I like the site in your sig. What is your connection to it? If your blog gets deleted I can tell you how you can probably get your blog back.

I am not interested in becoming a webdesigner. What I am interested in is learning enough so that if I did hire a webdesigner, I would know if he is an idiot or not.

Now I am still trying to understand the purpose of Tumblr. It looks to me like a blog system like the millions of other blog systems on the Internet. What I am wondering are these things

1) is there a way to keep only people local to my area to access the blog ?
2) What is * Great Content * ? And this I have many problems trying to understand.

Also I am not a webdesigner so the site in my signature is not my creation. But I am a person that donates to artists, etc. I have several small projects with galleries, artists, et cetera
