In fact, coincidently, Dr. Miao was my regular physician for years before he ever even got involved with helping the porn industry. Now he is retired and all he does is this advising for the porn industry. Guess how much money he makes for doing this? Again The answer: zero dollars.

"This is a true story:
Yesterday afternoon in the locker room of LA Fitness, who should I run into? None other than Michael Weinstein of the Aids Healthcare Foundation! We spoke for honestly about 30 or 40 minutes. In the locker room! I wasn't even wearing a shirt! Dudes kept coming and going oblivious to what we were talking about!
He communicated that he has a lot of resources that he can put and will continue to put into this fight. I believed him. I kept saying that the industry will definitely not stop the fight either, so the ONLY thing to do in my mind was to come up with some sort of 'settlement' or and/or agreement.
"Like porn ads for and involving condoms or something that have to go at the beginning of videos" - not a great settlement suggestion by me but I was just throwing stuff out there. "Honestly man, what is your end game? what's your ideal resolution?" I asked.
He didn't have a quantitative answer, but I kept saying that if he expected there to be a world where every free porn tube site video had condoms in it than that was not a world that has anything to do with reality, no matter how much time effort and money he puts into this fight. He listened to what I was saying. I kept insisting that the ONLY answer was to come up with some sort of "settlement" and work "with" the industry.
"Truly giving all performers the choice to use a condom would be a good start" he said. "From everyone I've talked to including all the performers I've talked to [at this moment I wanted to ask which performers he had talked to but I didn't], it's clear that performers do NOT truly have the choice and if they want to use condoms they won't get certain jobs,[etc.]" he continued to say.
I meekly replied, "I have to somewhat agree with you there, my guess would be 15 - 20 % of the producers truly give the performers the choice without it affecting anything else whatsoever."
I continued, "Anyway, let's say 100% of the LA producers somehow did adopt this true 'condom choice' policy: how would they prove it to you? How could they even contact you?"
"It's easy to get in touch with me, just call the office!" he said. "So far no one in the industry has reached out to me."
"You haven't spoken to Dr. Miao?" I asked. He shook his head. "You haven't spoken to Fabian? Steve Hirsch? Steve Orenstein?" "No one" he said,"just Mike South"!
I told him he should post on gfy, because as my father always said, all problems are problems of communication. He asked what gfy was. Now he knows! It didn't seem like he was going to post there, but it did seem that he would perhaps read it at least. If he reads my post, "Hello Mr. Weinstein, it was interesting and informative meeting you today, I will be in touch."
I think there must be some sort of solution here, I just need help thinking what it is and proposing it to this guy. AJ, ask them on gfy to please brainstorm!"
EDIT! As Reggie wrote, please brainstorm possible ideas to bring to this Weinstein:-)
