Between now and then put your car up for sale for a few thousand more than the residual. You will easily find a buyer.
When you have the buyer take him to the dealer with you to close the deal. You will walk out with a check. If you're buying a new car, you can transfer the taxes paid on that car to your new car and save $$$ too.
