Both are decent systems but when you build a site with one of these scripts your site will be nearly identical to the hundreds of thousands of other sites using the same script.

Not true at all anymore. Someone built a theme engine that works for both Postnuke and PHPNuke. Just take your HTML template and drop in some code to pull up the nuke stuff. With a little time spent using this engine...you can have a great looking, unique site in no time.
