Of course these days...the scam is that everybody HAS to have health insurance. The medical industry (pharma, doctors, hospitals) have raised the prices of everything many times what any other country on Earth pays.

So a young person doesn't need it these days, but everything is so expensive that they need it?
Anyway, it's not about doctors visits. My preferred doctor does not accept any health insurance and I have continued to pay him $130/mo. out of pocket. It is about accidents, major illnesses, hospitalization and prescription benefits in case you ever develop something that requires a lifelong medication regimen.
But I guess if I thought people cannot easily get HIV (currently 1 out of every 287 people confirmed to have it in the US), Hep C or anything else, I'd probably be writing equally confusing statements.
