Is it really personal responsibility when the system is rigged?
My family never had health insurance. I never had health insurance. The thousands of guys in the bands working for the same agencies I worked for in the 1980's and 1990's didn't have health insurance.
People simply paid out of pocket (yes even hospital stays).
It's when the govt. brought in HMO's that cost suddenly skyrocketed. And it seems like the more people that have "insurance" (that name doesn't even fit anymore..."insurance" is supposed to be something to INSURE you against a catastrophe) the more that going to the doctor and prescription medication costs are rising.
I know I'm ranting...but goddamn. How long are people going to accept the hard anal fucking we are getting by the govt. big pharma, the medical industry, and the insurance companies?
