I think it's more that they don't want to hear anything bad about them and in many cases they have a business relationship with them which they want to strengthen. But it's the biggest company in adult and one most responsible for the state of the current industry. If he didn't report and focus on them to some extent he would be remiss.

If you don't like what he says about Manwin you can always not read the topics posted by mikesouth which include the word 'manwin' in the title. It's a very easy thing to do and probably takes a lot less time than always bitching all the time about him posting about the #1 company in adult. You could even put him on ignore and not read his blog. But I think for some people it's more about being a yes man or keeping others from seeing the information he is posting.
