What has the "veteran" part to do with it? To give the old man even more sympathy? And make the teens look even more evil? like they knew the old man was a veteran... Like the old man was a veteran and nothing more then a veteran... Would it be less worse if it was not a veteran? Was he killed because he was a veteran? Media... hummm
