we stayed in a poor part of Havana at a friends family house - it's called Mantilla (for those who know)
they get water from the city every 4 days for 4 hours - in that time they refill their tanks. if you need more - bad luck.
to drink water you have to boil it - or buy (which most cant afford though).
at some point we tried to buy water and it was sold out in 5 shops.
basic foods like rice, flour, sugar are very cheap but rationed. if you need more - bad luck.
i could go on for an hour like that...
