You say you never hacked nats but somehow managed to spam the shit out of every webmaster who ever signed up to a Nats 3 program. Oh, and no one else did this. So if you just "bought a list" then you are the only one who bought it.
I think its reasonable to consider that you hacked nats for all practical intents and purposes. Otherwise its like saying you didn't rob the bank but you were caught trying to spend the money and no one else was so, I am pretty sure you are going to pay the price for that with every thread you post until it gets cleared up. (and probably for awhile after that)
