But he kicked gores butt in those debates because he stuck firm to his views and was comfortable in his skin, wheras Gore came off as an insecure goof.

That is what makes a good leader. Someone that has the courage to make decisions.
I've always wondered about the term "The heartland". Just where IS the heart of America located? Kansas? I'm from there, and I can tell you that is one of the most UN-informed states in the Union!

And as far as Bush kicking Gore's ass in the debates..oh come on now! Gore WAS stiff and boring. Bush was DUMB and boring! The debates were all in all..VERY boring!

People make decisions all the time. Sometimes they drive right onto the railroad track with the train brearing down! Does that make them a good leader? They made a decision..a BAD ONE!
