In mid-summer the water isn't overly cold - but passengers get soaked in the rapids and then chill out in the wind at 40-50mph on the return trip downriver.
My father took the trip a few years ago and said he regretted not wearing a heavier shirt or sweater due to the chill on the way back to the dock area.
