We had people that were skilled in the art of photography, lighting and make up. Companies like playboy and penthouse had a process of creating a quality product. Each photo shoot had it's own recipe and each lady had her own individuality. (Not forgetting that we had access to money to create a product that most videos and photos created today will never come close to earning. ) Things like skills, a vision, money and commitment enhance a woman's natural beauty and went a very long way to creating a quality product.
But sadly today that's all gone. What we create is made with the same mentality like McDonalds makes their burgers. Unfortunately the consumer has been conditioned to treat the product and see the lovely ladies in our videos with about as much respect as they do McDonalds food. Therefore from a pragmatic point of view, the old days are gone and they're not coming back any time soon.
From the point of view of a man.
From a physical perspective women today and the women of yesterday still come in all shapes and sizes. So what is physically beautiful still depends on the woman you're looking at.
BUT the women of the 60s/70s/80s had something that is truly lacking today and that's a touch of class. When you consider that the desire for sex starts in the mind then you understand that the non physical traits can make a "Plain-Jane" looking girl appear to be a knock out bombshell. Things like a sense of self, a playful attitude, a welcoming personality and gentleness can do things like turn some lady's crooked smile into the mouth that every man wants to kiss.
Also don't kid yourselves because those non-physical traits were that little indefinable something that every unconsciously saw in the photo/film. And they're what pushed sales over the top.
I guess anyone that remembers the old days has a certain nostalgia and sadness. (myself included) But the current situation is the current situation and perhaps one day it will change. Unfortunately I won't be around to see it.

I thought the girls were warmer and more approachable feeling in the photos in the 70's. More normal girls versus classy. I think in the 80's that all changed at Playboy. The women were groomed to be big breasted blond bombshells. Just my opinion as a long term fan of the magazine.
I am used to how girls look today so that attracts me. The % of body fat seems much lower for a girl to be considered beautiful. We have everyone being super thin or a bit cut and it makes a girl look hard by the time she hits her 30's. It also really takes it out of the natural big breasts. You can't have it all...
