The Electric/supercar is the Mercedes SLS AMG e-Cell against the Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series.
You are correct that the e-Cell was faster in a drag race, but the black series was around 3 seconds faster around the top gear track when driven by the Stig.
Also very important things to note about the e-Cell:
1) the car is NOT sold with the yellow foiling as it was shown there (stupid I think, but I bet it is not fully street legal with it)
2) the car is around 100k pounds more expensive than the black series.
3) when it was tested in S+ mode (the only mode it really shows the true power of the 4 e-motors) by clarkson, 40% of the battery was depleted in just _7_ seconds.
The tech in it is promising though. Just need better batteries now
