Those town hall meetings... Can get heated. Stupid people who wish they were much more important in real life go to these meetings with a beef about something stupid and it gets out of hand.
We had an incident last year where the city employees were on strike because they didn't get a raise, and their health benefits were cut slightly. So many people attended the meeting that they had to move to the community pavilion - where the kids were having their practice. The meeting ended and moved outside, lots of yelling and cussing and some fist fighting... all of which happened right in front of the kids who got out of their practice at the same time. It was fucking nasty.
