There always has been...always will be - utter morons behind the wheel.
But I'm not sure if its just my 50yr. old perception these days - but asshole drivers seem to be the norm rather than the exception. It used to be you'd see the occasional idiot do something stunningly stupid. But nowadays it just seems to be constant...everywhere you go.
And not to be sexist - but what the fuck is with young girls who tailgate? Even when I'm doing 10km/h over the speed limit...they climb right up on the bumper to the point you can't even see their front grill. And often times its a big SUV or minivan - with greater braking distance.
I chalk much of it up to very little cop presence on the roads these days - at least around here. And even when you see a cop - they rarely make a traffic stop. One cop I worked with a few summers ago says he won't even pull someone over for speeding unless they're doing more than 20km/h over the limit.
