to be honest in the usa it looks more fun.
in the uk in the 70's it was full of thugs fighting fans from other clubs.
unlike in the usa where they play in the sun, in the uk its played in winter, in the wet and cold. its so depresing.
its also expensive to go, which is odd when its mainly a lot of working class people who watch it.
if your not from the uk, think grey skies, cold, rain, standing for an hour or so in that. and for some people people love it.
however there was one reason to watch football in the 70's and 80's (i think they have stoped it now) was from time to time you had streakers. nothing better than watching tv as a kid and seeing some big boobed babe running over the field and the police trying to cover her up. i am not sure if you have streakers in the uk, but if not, you sure missed out on the best thing ever.
