I wouldnt be so dismissive of religion. I think there is the possibility of God.
for example, we cannot see air. We can feel it, & we can see that things move in the wind. Does the fact we cannot see air mean it does not exist?
& i simply find it unlikely that the earth is the perfect distance from the sun, has the perfect tilt, & the perfect speed of spin, & has oxygen, & has water, & has a protective ozone layer, & is not located near a black hole, & has trees to scrub the CO2, has oceans to manage the temperature, & humans were created from monkeys, who were created from fish, who were created from ameoba, & there is no engineer that made all of this happen? Could las vegas have constructed itself without an intelligent designer? its nothing but sand.
It all happened at random, according to athiests. I find that hard to believe. Rather, i see all the miraculous & perfect coincidences that created human civilizations & i say, yes, there must be a god. i cannot see him, but like the air, i know it is there because i see the other signs pointing to Him.
But i would agree the organized religions are cartoons now, relevant mostly due to traditions.
jolly ho.
