Obviously the guy was a menace and needed to be in jail or a psych hospital. I just don't like it when police are so quick to take someone's life when there were obviously other options available. Give the nutjob his day in court.

I agree, they are quick to the trigger on the streets of T.O. I'm really not arguing against anyone who says this was excessive force, as it was; I am just saying, drop the knife and you live, guaranteed.
this isn't New York, the only time these cops even get to see violence is when Bieber comes to town. Walk around downtown Toronto in the middle of the night, the worst thing that might happen is a hot chick walks by and doesn't smile at you (and even that is rare).
