It's the paul markham of the army. You really think being in the army, or in fact any of the services, means those people are somehow 'better' than anyone else, or that people should be thankful/amazed/respectful purely becauseof your career choice? Of course it doesn't. 95% of the people on this planet have helped others, and positively touched lives in ways they can't even comprehend - your career choice alone isn't the standard by which you should be measured, even if you think so. You 'served' your country, and 'served' with blah blah division - oh what a sacrifice. People 'serve' their employers every day, and 'serve' with their co-workers, the difference is they aren't brainwashed into believing they are special because they 'serve' and not 'work for'.
Hey, it's great that people are in the military, etc, they do a great job, are often needed, and help a load of people out. Just like hundreds of millions of other people in employment.
