We are not in some post-racial utopia, and the dystopia we find ourselves in is no accident. I believe that most people whom consider themselves liberal understand that much of the heavy lifting will have to come from within the black community, however it stands to reason that if people are in solidarity instead of active opposition, that the difficult tasks ahead of the black community will be made easier.
I feel sad for bitter hateful people that are blinded by prejudice and ignorance.

you had me until this: violence caused by white people? ....that's amazing the way you have distorted the facts... for one thing most murders among people are murders of the same race... you need to be around someone to kill them. and 55% of all murders are black people and 93% of those are committed by black people, which BTW are 13% of the population...so 13% of the population is killing 55% of the people so your statement 'violence caused by white people' is really way the fuck out there... you know that right?

BTW I haven't seen the 'black community' do any lifting heavy or not.

for the record I'm not blind, not bitter, not hateful and not prejudice, I have no respect for black culture however I have no issues with any skin color at all. FYI my daughter is 1/2 white, my grandson 1/4...
