Or, if you have to use the computer, download an application called FLUX (
http://justgetflux.com/) f.lux fixes this: it makes the color of your computer's display adapt to the time of day, warm at night and like sunlight during the day.

I disable it for color sensitive work, but otherwise it really helps my eye strain to be kept at a minimum.
