adg, i was going to ask you, how do you define trophy wife, and the definition you found is mine too.
she was a status symbol for john, she was his trophy wife, the problem with john when he was alive was he really got too caught up in his rock and roll lifestyle, thats one reason why he was shot and didn't live to tell anyone about it.
jane fonda, john kerry, hilary clinton, george bush, bill gates, yoko ono is one of them too, someone who stayed silent and arguably betraying herself by doing so throughout the last ten years during a very uncertain time in the world, and in history, when their lives told a complete different story, when they were all over the establishment, down with the man, peace not war, the anti-war rallies, so what changed?

After the break-up of the Beatles, John did dive into the rock and roll lifestyle, going on some famous drug binges, and even leaving Yoko for a time, and having an affair with May Pang.
When John and Yoko reconciled is when John probably was able to be the most alive and human/humane of his life, spending most of five years with his children, reclusive and semi-retired from rock and roll. Yoko made helped John become more sane and centered.
It was only when he finally emerged once again into the public eye that he was assassinated by a deranged fan with a handgun.
I believe that Yoko has been very active and vocal over the past few decades on numerous issues, and supported various causes, and whether you agree with their policies or not, Hilary Clinton may very well have secured the Presidency with her stint as Secretary of State. and now John Kerry will leave his mark. It seems those two are still quite active on a number of issues.
Not sure why you're so bitter.
Anyway, if you want to keep bashing Yoko, have fun, it's your thread...I prefer to give peace a chance.
