She had no prior record and had a protective order out against her husband. She claimed to have fired the warning shots to avoid a beating. Coincidentally, she also didn't have her bond revoked for lying to the court.
Amazing the difference a year makes.

Sounds like she had no legal right to fire warning shots and got sucked into the mandatory minimum sentencing scam put in place by private prison owners to guarantee cell occupants.
