He was a liar but he was the first detective on the scene and he took copious exacting notes and one of the things he made note of...as I recall...was I believe a bloody palm print...found somewhere on the premises...I think maybe the back gate or somewhere on the fence. He also had in his notes made from when he entered Simpson's home...as I recall...a small empty box but a new box that had once contained a knife...and also that there were some...I believe...dark sweats in the washer that had blood on them.
The two lead detectives that took over the case never read Furman's notes until it was to late...and the bloody print had degraded to a point that it was useless...the knife box had disappeared and the clothes in the washer had disappeared also.
If they would have read his notes when he gave them the notes they may have had OJ's bloody palm print at the scene of the crime...and if they had the sweats from the washer they may have found the blood from the crime scene on them.
