all depends on what you are going for...
thehun has millions of bookmarkers because he has 0 blind links, quality galleries, and updates daily.
the CJ/TGPs (traffic traders) need a very productive design so they can send the most traffic out as possible to get the most back....
now the question is are you going to take the time to gain millions of bookmarkers or make a TGP to recycle tons of shitty traffic.
