Ahem... medical records only prove he was prescribed the medication. Medical records do not prove that he was on them that night.
And no, medications do not have side effects if they're prescribed if you're not taking them.
And once again, the burden of proof is on the prosecution. And just like everything else they cannot prove, they can't prove he had those medications in his system on that night.
It's not about what you know, want to believe or think happened... it's about what can be proven. Plain and simple.
