No text at all under or above the vids in the tube-style blogs? You need text with links within to get your ctr flowing..

Thanks Jel. I've tried odd sized banners there. I did try a closeup photo in that spot with the implication that it needed to be clicked to see the whole thing. That got 1.5% ctr but the conversions weren't there and the ctr trickled away over time.
It's a high user interaction site and fits more with the demographics of a forum. So you get the same people over and over with some new ones mixed in. It's not the type of site where you hope people will come through from Google, click a sponsor and then go away to come back next week or month maybe. I don't want to say much more so as to not give away what I'm doing
but it's more meant to sell dating although years ago it would have also been able to sell adult paysites like crazy too. Unfortunately although I don't put up porn on my site or allow it most of my users seem to know where to go to get all the free porn they could ever need. They are highly savvy.
