Then in post (Adobe Camera Raw), I'll do a white balance on the white or gray patch, whichever one I like best. That gives me a neutral balance by removing any color casts. As far as plugins, I'm a plugin whore. I have so many plugins it's embarrassing. But for these sample shots, I didn't use any of them. When I develop them for Twistys, I may run them through a few though.
The shots that I post on the boards usually look a little different then what I send in to Twistys because their members are very particular about what they want. Anything that even hints of art, they'll bitch & whine like a bunch of lil' babies. So I try to keep that stuff pretty straight forward. But for stuff that I Tweet & Tumblr out and what I may post on the boards, I'll spent a few minutes doing some fun stuff to them

wow, super cool, i've seen those types of white balance cards but never really understood how to use them, now i know! thank you. i'm adding that to my shopping cart now.
