You call that a deer strike?
Here is my 82 Buick after hitting a doe at 85mph (estimated impact speed).
Notice, the hood & fender are quite bent.. also, the core support (thick heavy structural member that spans across the top of the radiator) is severely bent. This picture is after $8 at the power washer to get off the green mush (she must have just eaten), blood, hair and bits of bone.
The hit happened around 2:30am coming south through the North Woods of Michigan from Sault St. Marie (at the Michican-Canadian border) to St. Ignace (at the southernmost point of northern Michigan), where I was for a car show. We managed to get the car back together the next day and for $90 got the radiator's 4 ruptures fixed and had it back on the road for the 700+ mile trip back to Pennsylvania.
Obviously, we paraded around town as the assholes who hit a deer that year, with big stickers on the side saying "Deer Slayer 455" (due to the Olds 455 engine) and "Bambi Killer" with a head count.
oh... and I knew a dude who hit a bear on his motorbike, and if you've never seen a bear on a motorbike before, it's a sight to behold. But seriously, the bear upped and walked away, the guy is pretty much done, last I saw him was a few months after, still had his head and arm in traction, kid was fucked up. Reasons I'll never put a sport bike on the road.
