there is a border, your side is called Canada, worry about the Canadian constitution.
USA is pretty tough on folks who shoot at cops, it probably happens more here since we are allowed to own guns, my guess is the cops are extra aggressive considering nearly anyone could be armed... nothing to do with constitution.
