the train will stop after 20 SEC, here is the proof:
v=v0-at (- because the acceleration is negetive)
ok!
we need to know when the speed will be 0, so we will see how much time it takes!
so:
v0=40m/s
a=-2m/s^2
v=0
-----
t=?
----
0=v0-at
0=40-2t
-40=-2t
t=20sec
the train will stop after 20 sec, thats it! no more argue!
