Here's my non-expert opinion on pitbulls. Some are gentle, some are vicious, by nature all can be dangerous if prompted. So how do you know? I don't so I stay away from the breed entirely. Won't own one won't let my dog near one.

On the other hand I have zero problem taking my old girl to my friends house with his 300 lbs of German Shepard and Mastiff.
