Exactly, ive tested in the past some sponsors that were telling 1 : 300, and i was 1 : 2000. Im not telling their lying, just telling that it depends of the traffic sources and they way you generate traffic (plus the geos, banners etc etc) Oranges and apples...
IF we talk big traffic sources like pornhub next to video A NOBODY can do an average of 1:200 (on PPS) with big volume (on all geos)
But yes if someone as a really specific niche, and buy contextual ads, on a good country like usa, on a banner that only bring pertinent clicks, on a targetted tour etc etc..
Well he can have better ratios, but no volume...
On a normal spot , anyone around 1 : 1000 Ratio for a 40$ PPS ( so .04$ epc ) (for all geos) have to be happy of that kind of results.
We buy over 1m of $$ of traffic per month, not sure many does that here, so i think my numbers are pretty realistic ... sponsors under 1 :500 on big tube traffic (all geos) does not exist , if they were, they will buy all the spot instead of us, or we will be promoting them and be more rich !
