That is the worst. I constantly here of girls here who are sold off by their family or tricked by them and end up working in a whore house.
There is a case going on right now where a Thai girl was tricked into working in South Korea, where her aunt sent her to work in a legit massage parlor. They took her passport and made her turn tricks instead. The girl was smart enough to get a hold of a phone, get on facebook, and track down a Thai policeman who eventually got shit together to rescue her.
Now back home her DAD and BROTHER say it is all a lie and she just wanted to come home. I have no doubt, as does everyone else here, she was sold off by her dad to her aunt for money, which he in turn used to either gamble with, pay off gambling debt, or by a new truck. Now they are protecting the aunt and throwing this girl under the bus. Typical shit.

It boggles the mind how this happens in developed nations. I think it shows what a dark underbelly all of our countries have and just how many people look the other way (palms greased) to let it happen. You're not moving girls in and out of countries (developed ones) without help from people in immigration or somewhere high up the food chain. Unless of course you're making them do illegal land crossings through Canada or Mexico, but too many of them have passports and are flown elsewhere.
Japan is actually the #1 country in the world for "transit" trafficking. Meaning girls are sent there first and then sent elsewhere after. It is an in-between country. The Japanese are monsters when it comes to trafficking women, still to this day. That doesn't happen without help from the right people with the right connections.
