So there was this killer thunderstorm last night.. It was RIGHT over us and there were strikes all around... Our montor blew up among other things (the storm was THAT intense, these things were "protected"). Anyways we go about our business today and get home, our neighbour knocks on the door and asks if we cut our tree. No... So we go out back. A 250 year old maple tree we had in our back yard was hit (it is about 10 feet from our back door). To give you an idea, this thing is well over 4 feet in diameter, and it's well over three stories high... If it would have come back it would have demolished my bedroom with me in it.. If it fell to one side it would have hit our shed and demolished it. The other side it would have smashed the neighbour's art gallery. Instead, it fell towards the woods, THANK GOODNESS. The stump is all scorched and that.. it's freaky as hell. I took pictures and I'll upload them later
Needless to say the hunt for a monitor has decreased my productivity some (as jact and I am forced to share the system until we can get a proper replacement, he has a little piece of crap right now not suitable for image editing), but hopefully we can get one sent out here to hickville soon!
