But that's not true. The US didn't "create" Al Qaeda. The group was founded and funded by Osama bin Laden. We can trace it's start to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, towards the very end of the invasion, and while the US did fund and support the Afghan Mujahideen in general it's a far stretch to say the US created or even supported Al Qaeda.
