I couldn't care less about this feature, if the output is only in flash. Mentioning that Flash is a fall back, while an HTML5 player is default makes more sense.

There was no solution in WordPress to upload video content and have it displayed in the post. You had to either use one of those third party solutions, which really sucked... Or encode on a side and then post it.
This 3.6 feature is an amazing solution.
If you don't care about it, then stay with WordPress 3.5.1 and don't update your blogs.
Most Adult Webmasters who want video in their blogs, will update to 3.6 just to use this Feature, because there was no solution for this before 3.6.
