Opening is a ripoff of Indiana Jones. Guy is obsessed with Spielberg so no surprise here.
There's a scene at the end of Act 1 that's a ripoff of The Godfather 3. Similarities too overwhelming to overlook.
The rest of the movie is all action. Set piece after set piece. Big things and explosions.
The 'ticking time bomb' plot device is used all to often. After the 400th time it's used there is no urgency anymore.
Guy who plays Khan stole the show. If he's back for #3 than I'm in
Few plot holes, few cases of lazy writing. A scene in the beginning is put in there for no other reason than to set up the end. And a character is conveniently put away in order for another character to shine and return a favor. And it's done in the laziest possible way.

All in all it was a good take. Looking forward to see what can be done with Star Wars now. Hope it's more personality and less action though.

Edit: Maybe ripoff is too strong of a word. I'll say it was "inspired"
