I just read back what you posted and read you were making 90 cent per 1.50, my bad.
Indeed it sucks to make much less for each usd dollar we make but...we have very good programs in place for e.g., our health care program that cannot be compare to the one in the US.
There's much more reasons why our economy is more stable than USA and it's not only because of our natural resources. I'm not here to debate this with you.
It just sucks to see such comments about Canada, specially coming from somebody living here. I guess you are an american living in Toronto. If you think it's better there, go live there. But just don't get sick there. The 10 cents you loose each time you go to the bank for each dollar deposited, is nothing to what it could cost you there.
Anyway I'm not here to fight with you or anyone but it's clear that it's a matter of time that USA will not be the influence on the economy anymore.
